The Wardens and Vestry of the Church of the Advent/St. John's Chapel have announced the election and call of the Revd. Dr. John P. Mitchell as the new rector of the parish.

His first Sunday with the parish will be on October 12, 2008. Father Mitchell and his wife Dot are coming to Advent and Cape May from northern New Jersey and the Diocese of Newark. He will be the fourteenth rector of the parish since its founding in 1899.
