Visitors and Seekers  Welcome to all.  Whether you are just visiting for a brief time or are looking for a faith home, you are welcome at the Church of the Advent.  Explore this web site for more information about who we are and what we do.  There are a few notes on this page which may help you get started.

Worship: Sunday services are at 8 and 10:30 in the morning. The 8 am service is a spoken celebration of the Holy Eucharist. At our 10:30 am service we are joined by our Advent choir and organist.  Children are welcome at both services.  During the school year there is Sunday school at 10:30. There is coffee after the 10:30 service in the Parish Hall next door.

Communion: All who have been baptized, whatever the denomination, are welcome to receive communion, the bread or the wine or both. This is Christ's table and not our own. If you just want a blessing, come to the rail and ask. If you cannot leave the pew, alert an usher and we will bring communion to you. If you are allergic to wheat, let us know so that we can provide for you.

Kneeling and standing and such:  Some stand. Some sit. Our diversity reflects different backgrounds and sometimes our generation. The best position for prayer is one which brings you closer to God, one which settles your heart.

Accessibility:  We are accessible into the Church via a ramp on Washington Street and into the Parish Hall via a ramp on Franklin Street. If we can help, please ask.

Questions: If you have questions, feel free to ask. If you are interested in learning more about our community, feel free to call the church office at 609 884 3065 or send a message to churchoftheadvent@verizon.net.

We look forward to welcoming you.
