The Sacrament of Holy Baptism

If you are interested in the Sacrament of Holy Baptism please call the church office and ask to speak with a member of the clergy. Except in emergencies, Baptisms at Church of the Advent are held as part of the community’s public celebration of the Holy Eucharist on Sunday. Particular days on which Baptism is most appropriate include the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord (1st Sunday after January 6); the Great Vigil of Easter; Pentecost; and November 1, the Feast of All Saints.  We understand the need to accommodate the travel plans of family and friends as well so call (609 884 3065) to set aside a Sunday for this special and joyous occasion.  A time of instruction for parents is offered or, if an adult or older child, the one being baptized.

Confirmation, Reception

If you are interested in being confirmed or, if already confirmed in another Christian tradition, in being received please contact the parish office and ask to speak with a member of the clergy. These liturgies coincide with a visit from one of our bishops following a period of preparation and instruction.
